Don't sweat the small stuff
It's that time of year again, when people get engaged! If you have suddenly found a new rock on your finger, then you should start reading some of my blogs! Another thing that might be handy is getting a start on your wedding stationery needs. (It's a super fun process, trust me!)
Even though you've probably got a lot of holiday stuff on your brain & don't want to think about planning a wedding, it would be beneficial for you to start. Right now, I am booking & working with brides who have April 2018 & beyond wedding dates, & It's never to early to start thinking of your stationery; it will actually give you more time to think about what you want.
Now that you're engaged, where do you start? Well, head to Pinterest! Decide what your overall vision, look & feel will be & then find photos that match your style. Look at all the different styles of invitations, printing processes & wording. You'll definitely find what fits you & your future spouse best, but make sure you save the inspiration to show you stationery designer. Seeing inspiration from my brides helps tremendously because then I can see what they have in mind & overall vision for their wedding. Your inspiration doesn't need to only be stationery related; you can definitely show your designer flowers that you like, the venue & bridesmaids dresses. I gather lots of information for wedding invitations from the other details of the wedding.
I absolutely LOVE it when brides have special little things they want to include in their wedding stationery. If you have something that means a lot to you & your significant other, make sure to mention it! For example, if you guys spent time in the fall picking apples every year, have a golden retriever or love the smell of lavender, INCLUDE IT! (Or if you are an artist, you can design or paint something to be included in your stationery, like the envelope liners below! Miles is a local artist that wanted to include some of her work in her stationery, & it turned out amazing!) Your wedding stationery is a direct reflection of your relationship together & how much it will grow in the years to come. I always consider an invitation or save the date an heirloom piece from your wedding day. It's a way for you guys to look back at your stationery & remember the beautiful wedding day you had & all the details leading up to your day.
I'd love to hear what your inspiration & vision are for your wedding day! Making stationery personal is what I do best! Again, I am currently booking April 2018 & beyond & it would be amazing to meet you! You can email me through my website or Instagram, or even fill out the wedding form on the website. The wedding form can be found on my Wedding page towards the bottom. Until then, I'm wishing you a very Happy Holidays!
